Heather Lampel, MD, MPH
VP, Clinical DevelopmentDr. Lampel is our Vice President of Clinical Development.
She is a double board-certified physician with over 20 years combined clinical and biopharmaceutical industry experience. Prior to joining Oruka, Dr Lampel served as a Therapeutic Area Head at Allergan Aesthetics, an AbbVie company, from 2021 to 2025, where she led the global development of soft tissue fillers, leading to multiple regulatory approvals worldwide. From 2018 to 2021, she held increasing roles of responsibility in clinical development at Merz Aesthetics. Dr Lampel was an Assistant Professor of Dermatology at Duke University for several years before transitioning to private practice. She is Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Dermatology at University of California, Irvine.
Heather received her MD from The Ohio State University, Master of Public Health and Occupational Medicine residency training at University of Pittsburgh, and Dermatology residency training at University of California, Irvine.
