Laura Sandler

SVP, Operations

Laura is our Senior Vice President of Operations. She is currently the Boston site head and responsible for overseeing Portfolio and Program Management, Quality Assurance, and Development Operations.

She brings more than 20 years of experience developing novel therapies in the biotech industry. Most recently, she was Senior Vice President of Strategic Operations at Kelonia Therapeutics, accountable for Program Leadership, Program Management, and Quality Assurance. Prior to that, she built and led the development operations team at CRISPR Therapeutics and was responsible for clinical execution for the entirety of the corporate pipeline, including CASGEVY™, the first approved CRISPR-based medicine worldwide. She also led the development operations team at bluebird bio from IND-enabling work through human proof of concept for LYFGENIA™, the first viral-based gene therapy approved for sickle cell patients. Earlier in her career she held roles in project management and clinical operations at Ventrus Biosciences, Novartis, IQVIA, and MedImmune.

She earned her master’s degree in public health from Boston University and has a bachelor’s degree from MIT.
