Paul Quinlan, JD, LLM

Paul is our General Counsel.

With two decades of experience as a general counsel at both private and public biotechnology companies, he most recently served as General Counsel, Chief Compliance Officer, and Corporate Security of CymaBay Therapeutics, where he was responsible for the general supervision of the company’s legal affairs up to its acquisition by Gilead Sciences. Prior to CymaBay, he served as Chief Legal Officer at TerraVia Holdings, an algal biotechnology company, and as General Counsel at Metabolex, a biopharmaceutical company. Earlier in his career, he practiced law at Cooley LLP and Cravath, Swaine, & Moore LLP.

Paul holds an LLM from Columbia Law School, a JD from Queen’s University in Canada, and an MSc in Biophysics from the University of Toronto.
